Today has been such a very busy day for me. I've been browsing the internet for almost 8 hours looking for cameras or camcorders to buy so I can stream or do recordings for my PS vita gaming.
And as I stumbled on several websites, I learned that there's a lot of useful homebrews for the Vita to make it more wonderful and improve it's functionalities. For people who are not familiar in gaming terms, homebrew is not an alcoholic beverage made at home lol but it has the same meaning. Homebrews in gaming are apps or games that was made at home usually by ordinary people, not by big or small companies.
So, since I've learned and installed a lot of homebrews in my vita, might as well put it here so others can learn too. These are the most important in all of the homebrews. Not having these means all the other apps or games won't function. These organizers are always in my Vita no matter what. This is the installer of henkaku. Henkaku is the homebrew that lets you enable all other homebrews to be used on your vita.
As you can see on the picture below, the install button is just one tap and it will automatically do all the work you need. Just make sure you have internet connection. Vita users have been using this for a long time and every time you turn off your Vita, you need to install henkaku again.
This is the the updated version of Molecular Shell, the Enso. This one is permanent unlike it's predecessor. Meaning, you just have to install this once and your vita will be permanently on henkaku. This can be disabled though. This homebrew makes the vita easy to connect to a computer. Unlike the regular connecting, it takes a lot of update and process just to connect your vita to a PC but Vitashell makes it so easy.
The Vita's camera is an average hardware, the quality of the pic ain't bad but not good either. But what's making it worst is the options available the standard camera app can give. It has standard functions that can be found on most phones making it better.
You can change the brightness, contrast, put grids or even change it to black and white. This is one of the best thing I learned today, the homebrew browsers app. Instead of going to a computer to look for apps for the Vita, you can just install this and then browse and download other homebrews directly to the vita. I didn't try this one because it seems old and not updated but it's still working.
Once you launch this app, it will automatically go online, to the website where you can download different types of homebrews. It is a homebrew where you can browse and download other homebrews from different makers similar to the app store.
As you can see, it has a simple UI that is also touch screen and can navigate through certain categories for any types of homebrews like games or emulators. And at the top, there's an option to launch Vita Homebrew Browser, another app store like this but is unique for Vita and it's on the next part. I only got one app on this category but boy this one is my favorite.
