I restarted my computer and upon start up my computer let out a loud beep and powered off.
I read online that this is a video card issue so i took it out and check for dust, i read somewhere else it was a RAM issue so i reinstalled my ram.
I got my computer back on and running for a few minutes but no monitors were finding a single when they were plugged in. To avoid all this headache i realize i could just buy a new video card but the ports on my motherboard still don't work!
I don't want to have to buy a new motherboard AND video card. Recently i already bought a new power supply and case and that's almost like buying a whole new computer. I don't have any new parts aside from my power supply. On start-up of my Pc it lets out one second beep and everything powers on. I can not plug any monitors into any ports that is video card and motherboard.
Before this happened i was skyping my cousin and surfing Google when i noticed steam wouldn't start, to trouble shoot this i restarted my computer. And the beep occured for the first time. Originally after the beep the computer would turn on and turn right back off but now it stays on. I got this to happen by removing the RAM and checking for dust and the same with the video card. I can not remember the specifics but i remember choosing another file that came with the package and "flashing it" or clicking "flash".
I really don't know what i did and i shouldn't have done it. Everywhere i read online people are solving these issues by unplugged everything in there PC and putting it back. I'm going to try that and if i get stuck again I'll be back on the forums. Any opinions? Shutdown the computer. Unplug the computer. Press the power button for 5 seconds. Open the computer. Plug the monitor in to the motherboard. Remove the C battery from the motherboard for 30 seconds.

So, let me get this straight You were Skyping and realized other programs were not starting? Remove everything plugged in the back of the computer except the Monitor and the Keyboard. Same issue? I'm almost certain its a setting somewhere! Does this happen when playing in windowed mode too? Or only in fullscreen? Do you have any special monitor configuration eg. Sorry for the questions but we need to understand the specific configuration to understand why this is happening. So, what to do?
